Dr. Megan Howard
Dr. Megan Howard, a proud Elkhorn native, is passionate about serving the Gretna community and surrounding areas alongside her husband, Dr. Colby. Dr. Megan graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. After graduating with honors from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, Dr. Megan is excited to return home and share her knowledge and expertise. Chiropractic care has been a part of her life since childhood, as her father, Dr. Andy Riffey, was a respected chiropractor in the Omaha area for over 27 years.
Before becoming a chiropractor, Dr. Megan spent several years serving the Lincoln community as a police officer, where she gained invaluable life lessons. Dr. Megan spent nearly a decade taking care of patients in the Gretna community, alongside Dr. Colby. These experiences shaped her approach to patient care, focusing on understanding and helping others at a deeper level.
Dr. Megan is dedicated to helping people of all ages live their healthiest lives. She has completed over 200 hours of specialized training in pediatric and prenatal care through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and is certified in the Webster Technique. Her goal is to help babies, children, and adults reach their full potential through chiropractic care.
In her quest for knowledge, Dr. Megan has also discovered the power of acupuncture, earning her certificate from Northwestern Health Sciences University after studying over 250 hours in the field. She has seen firsthand how combining chiropractic and acupuncture can create powerful healing results.
Dr. Megan’s commitment to healing extends beyond traditional methods. She is certified in Neuro-Emotional Technique, a pivotal technique to healing for her own family. She is a graduate of the Metabolic Institute of Health's Practitioner Master Course, where she learned how to use labs and terrain work to guide patient care. This integrative approach allows Dr. Megan to focus on the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—helping her patients reach their highest health potential.
In December 2022, Dr. Megan was diagnosed with an aggressive breast cancer. This life-changing moment led her and Dr. Colby to explore new ways of healing through the body’s natural processes. By May 2023, Dr. Megan received the life-changing news that she was cancer-free, and since then, the couple has restructured their clinic to focus on healing chronic disease and promoting long-term wellness. They are proud to offer a variety of healing modalities at their wellness center to support a holistic approach to health.
Outside of work, Dr. Megan cherishes spending time with her family. She and Dr. Colby are dedicated to creating lasting memories with their two daughters, Ava and Ella, and value the importance of balance—ensuring that everyone in their family embraces time for relaxation and enjoyment.
At our clinic, we believe in the power of holistic healing, and Dr. Megan is excited to help you on your journey to better health!

Dr. Colby Howard
Dr. Colby Howard’s journey to becoming a chiropractor is one deeply rooted in personal experience. Growing up in Litchfield, Nebraska, he struggled with debilitating migraines that left him seeking relief in various treatments. After finding no success, he turned to chiropractic care—and it changed his life. Inspired by his own transformation, Dr. Colby felt a calling to help others experience the same healing, and he embarked on a career dedicated to making a difference.
Dr. Colby began his academic journey at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, where he spent four years earning his undergraduate degree. He then went on to Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota, where he earned both his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees in 2009. The next year, he returned to Litchfield to open Nebraskaland Chiropractic. In 2011, he moved the practice to Broken Bow, where he became a trusted figure in the community, improving the lives of countless patients.
In 2013, Dr. Colby married his college sweetheart, Dr. Megan Howard, and the two doctors built a thriving family practice. Their journey together took an unexpected turn in 2022 when Dr. Megan was diagnosed with breast cancer. Faced with the challenge of balancing family, health, and business, the Howards moved to Gretna in 2023 to be closer to family and help Dr. Megan through her recovery. In May 2023, they received the wonderful news that Dr. Megan was cancer-free, and the family moved forward with renewed energy and purpose.
Now in Gretna, Dr. Colby is excited to continue his mission of helping people achieve optimal health. He’s a Certified Medical Examiner for DOT physicals and is certified in Neuro-Emotional Technique. He also believes strongly in the power of nutrition to support the body’s healing process, incorporating this philosophy into his patient care.
Outside the office, Dr. Colby loves spending time with his wife, Dr. Megan, and their two daughters, Ava and Ella. Whether it’s hunting in the fall and winter or cheering on the Huskers, Dr. Colby embraces the outdoor lifestyle and the sense of community that comes with it.
With a deep passion for wellness, Dr. Colby is dedicated to helping his patients live their best lives—just as chiropractic care helped him do so many years ago.
